Facility Description
Fawcett Memorial Hospital’s Surgical Services department includes 10 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites and 1 minor procedure room. Our Out Patient department features 14 beds to accommodate surgical, cardiac cath and radiology patients.
Our endoscopy department has the latest state of the art equipment available. In addition to colonoscopies and EGD’s, we offer many specialized procedures. These include: ERCP’s, ultrasound of the esophagus, and BRAVO capsules which measures the PH in the stomach.
Our surgical team consists of nurses, scrub techs, orderlies and administrative support. Many of our staff have specialized certification, including the operating and recovery rooms. This extra certification is not only nationally recognized, but also recognized by their peers and physicians.
Infection control in our operating room is especially important and our operating rooms not only meet the air exchange requirements, but exceed it.
