Our full-service oncology unit
Fawcett Memorial Hospital is a 253-bed, full-service acute care hospital. Our oncology unit is the only inpatient unit of its kind in Charlotte County. The unit is located on the third floor of the hospital and has 16 beds dedicated to patients with cancer.
In addition to offering the latest in cancer diagnostics and treatments, we have an active tumor board onsite. The tumor board allows physicians and staff from different areas of expertise to come together and discuss complex cancer cases.

Lung cancer screenings
We offer lung cancer screenings using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT). With this technology, our patients are exposed to a minimal amount of radiation. If lung cancer is detected, we can provide comprehensive lung cancer care.
We invite anybody facing cancer, survivors of cancer and their family and friends to join our Cancer Support Group. Physicians and other professionals will periodically speak to the group regarding specific, cancer-related issues. If you do not want to participate in the group actively, we understand and encourage you to come and listen.
